A Grand Forks man has died after hitting a support column for an overpass in East Grand Forks.
Marcus Christopher Contreras, 30, was southbound at 2:22 a.m. Thursday on River Road just east of the Kennedy Bridge when he drove a 2008 Honda Accord onto the center median of the street, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.He then hit the support column of an overpass where River Road goes under Gateway Drive, the release said.
