Bronx, NY : 1 killed, 4 injured in car crash on Bronxwood Avenue early Sunday morning, June 19, 2016

One person was killed and four other people taken to the hospital after an early morning car crash in the Bronx.

Police said a 28-year-old man was driving his car southbound on Bronxwood Avenue at 219th Street when it hit a car heading eastbound. The impact sent the eastbound car onto its side and the cars hit a number of parked vehicles.

The driver of the eastbound car, a 39-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was identified as Michael Rhone.

The 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were in critical condition. A 30-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were in stable condition.
