Nashville, TN : Child injured after being hit by car at West Trinity Lane and Liberia Street on Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 2016

Metro police said a child was injured after being hit by a car Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the crash happened just before 4 p.m. at West Trinity Lane and Liberia Street.

The child was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she is in non-critical condition.

Police said there was a bicycle involved, but it's unclear if the victim was on the bike or was walking next to it.

Police are interviewing multiple witnesses at the scene.

Channel 4 has a crew on the way to the scene and will have more details as they become available.
