An elderly woman killed when her vehicle rolled over her has been identified as Mary Mathis, the El Paso County Coroner's Office said Tuesday.
Mathis, 90, pulled into a Walgreens parking space in southeast Colorado Springs Monday afternoon and was walking behind her vehicle when it, still in gear, moved backwards, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle rolled over her, police said.
The crash was reported at the Walgreens at Airport Road and Circle Drive.
Police said the woman's death was the 10th fatal crash in Colorado Springs this year.
