Asheville, NC : Motorcyclist who fled from a traffic stop was dead when he collided with an SUV on Wednesday September 3rd 2014

Asheville police say a motorcyclist who fled from a traffic stop was killed when he collided with an SUV. The Asheville Citizen-Times reports police said 35-year-old David Christopher Dadak of Candler was killed after speeding away from the stop. Sgt. Dave Romick said a police officer tried to stop Dadak on an unrelated traffic violation on Wednesday when the motorcyclist fled the stop. The officer discontinued the stop, made a U-turn in the opposite direction and notified fellow officers. Romick said Dadak was driving his motorcycle westbound on Smoky Park Highway when an eastbound SUV attempted to make a left turn into a shopping center. Police said Dadak hit the front of the woman's Ford Explorer and was thrown onto a bank on the shoulder of the road.
