A 47-year-old Watseka man died on Monday after he crashed his car into a utility pole on Illinois Route 1/17 near Sun River Terrace.

According to Illinois State Police, Earl J. Blair was pronounced dead at Riverside Medical Center sometime after the crash, which occurred about 4:39 p.m.

No other drivers were involved, and police are only saying Blair left the roadway. No other cause for the crash is being released just yet.
