Rockford ,OH : Four hurt after two-vehicle collision on Ohio 118 on Thursday ,June 18th 2015
Four people were hurt Thursday in a two-vehicle collision on Ohio 118 south of Rockford, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Just before 2 p.m., the highway patrol said, a semi driven south on the state highway by Mark Keber, 58, of Ohio City collided with the rear of an SUV driven by Amanda Wellbaum, 32, of Lima.
They said Wellbaum and her three passengers, Kimmie Parker, 62, of Pandora; Katie Wellbaum, 8, and Olivia Wellbaum, 3, were taken to Van Wert County Hospital for treatment. Keber and a passenger were not injured.
Keber was cited for failing to maintain assured clear distance ahead, the highway patrol said. The Van Wert post was assisted by troopers from the Wapakoneta post and by Rockford Fire and EMS and the Mercer County Emergency Response Volunteers.
