Paxton, IL : Springfield man dead after crash in eastern Illinois on Sunday afternoon, January 31, 2016

A Springfield man died Sunday afternoon after his pickup truck went off an eastern Illinois road, rolled over and caught fire.
Christopher T. Ford, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Ford County coroner's office, Illinois State Police reported.
Police said Ford was traveling eastbound on Illinois 9 near 2500 East Road, about 3 miles east of Paxton, when the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. Police said Ford was ejected from the vehicle.
The pickup was fully engulfed in flames when authorities arrived. Illinois 9 was closed for about 45 minutes while the fire was extinguished.
