Jackson Township, OH : 77-year-old Lynchburg woman died in a one-vehicle crash in Clermont County on Saturday morning, December 12, 2015

A 77-year-old Lynchburg, Ohio, woman was killed Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash when police say she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree.

Carol Steele was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at about 9:45 a.m. on Glancy Corner Marathon Road in Clermont County.

According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Steele was traveling along a curve when she lost control of her 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser and drove off the the roadway. She was not wearing her seat belt, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
