Stamford, CT : 30-year-old city man killed in a motorcycle crash on West Main Street Wednesday night, July 20, 2016
A 30-year-old city man was killed following a motorcycle crash on West Main Street Wednesday night.
Jose Chacon-Valverde was pronounced dead at 2:29 p.m. Thursday at Stamford Hospital, Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said.
Gallager said the cause of death was a head injury.
Chacon-Valverde was riding his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the right lane of West Main Street near Myano Lane when he lost control of the bike about 7 p.m. Wednesday. Chacon-Valverde was ejected off the motorcycle and onto the roadway where he sustained serious head injuries, police said.
“At this time speed and alcohol/drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash,” police said.
The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is investigating the accident.
