Mendon, IL : Woman serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash on North 1903rd Lane on Saturday, April 16, 2016
A Mendon woman was taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries Saturday after a single-vehicle crash.
The Adams County Sheriff's Department said Angel Shoop, 40, was a passenger in a 1994 Ford Explorer driven by Dani L. Welsh, 21, of Quincy. The vehicle was heading west on North 1903rd Lane near the intersection of East 1000th Street at 7:52 p.m. when Welsh lost control and struck a fence.
Welsh and another passenger, Issac Hildebrand, 30, of Quincy, were not injured.
Shoop was the only person in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt.
Welsh was cited for no valid driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Assisting were the Mendon Fire Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service.
