ELK RUN HEIGHTS, IA : At least four injured in morning crash in Elk Run on Wednesday, 4th April 2018

At least four people were injured when their minivan collided with a semi on icy roads Wednesday morning.

The identities and conditions of the injured weren’t immediately available. Authorities said the van’s occupants had exited the vehicle on their own.

The crash happened around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Dubuque Road and Elk Run Road when the semi was headed south on Elk Run and turned left onto Dubuque Road, according to Evansdale police, who said the semi had a green light. The van was traveling west on Dubuque and impacted the side of the trailer, police said.
