WAIPAHU, HI : 76-year-old woman dead following Waipahu hit-and-run on Sunday, 27th October 2024

A 76-year-old woman has died following a hit-and-run crash that happened on Sunday morning in Waipahu.

On Sunday morning, October 27, 2024, at approximately 7:39 a.m. it was reported that a hit-and-run collision occurred in the area of Farrington Hwy and Pahu St.

It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 55-year-old man was traveling eastbound on Farrington Hwy when he made a right turn on Pahu St. and struck the woman who was crossing.

The woman was then taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
