Montgomery, AL : Man killed in early morning two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Eastern Boulevard and Vaughn Road on Sunday, 1st March, 2020

A Montgomery man is dead following a two-vehicle wreck Sunday morning involving an ambulance and a sedan.

Montgomery police Lt. Jarrett Williams said officers and Montgomery Fire Medics responded to the intersection of Eastern Boulevard and Vaughn Road about 1:43 a.m.

At the scene, officers found a 2016 Hyundai Sonata and a 2017 Ford T250 damaged from a collision.

Williams said the Ford was an ambulance. David Mimm, 54, who was on the ambulance, suffered life-threatening injures and was pronounced dead at the hospital, Williams said.

According to Williams, the Hyundai was traveling eastbound on Vaughn Road while the ambulance was northbound on the Eastern Boulevard. The two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided, Williams said.
