Wasilla, AK : Driver seriously injured in two-vehicle crash along Palmer-Wasilla Highway Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017

One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision along the Palmer-Wasilla Highway Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred at around 6:52 a.m. in front of Diversified Tire, according to a trooper dispatch posted online.

“It was reported the vehicles were on fire,” troopers wrote.

One driver was transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The other driver did not report any injuries, troopers said.

The highway was temporarily shut down as emergency responders worked the scene. Troopers say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
