La Crosse, WI : Dump truck driver charged with homicide in fatal crash on Wednesday October 8th 2014.

Prosecutors have charged a dump truck driver with causing a fatal crash on Interstate 90 near La Crosse. The La Crosse County District Attorney's Office charged 36-year-old Francis Rychtik Sr., of Arpin, with five felonies Wednesday in the July crash that killed 29-year-old Jason Songer of La Crescent, Minnesota. They include homicide by the intoxicated use of a vehicle. Authorities say Rychtik was going 55 mph when he rear-ended Songer's car. The complaint says he told investigators he drank heavily the night before. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.047 percent about three hours after the crash.
