Bakersfield,CA: Two people were killed in a minivan crash at Scofield Road on Wednesday August 10th,2016

Two people were killed early Wednesday when a minivan drifted into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with a big rig, ripping off the entire left side of the van.

Two men, ages 25 and 22, died in the collision at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 46 west of Scofield Road, the California Highway Patrol reported. Four others in the minivan were injured in the crash.

According to the CHP, a 2000 Toyota Sienna was headed westbound on Highway 46 at an undetermined speed when it drifted into the eastbound lane and crashed into the left side of the big rig.

The driver of the big rig was unharmed.
