Lexington man killed in motorcycle crash Near Kentucky

A Lexington man was killed Tuesday morning when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Platt Springs Road.South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said the incident happened around 6:45 a.m. about five miles west of Lexington near the intersection of Platt Springs and McCartha roads. The motorcyclist, 21-year-old Michael Douglas Garrison, was wearing a helmet but was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries.The driver of the truck also was taken to a hospital, but her injuries are not life-threatening, according to troopers.The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
