Larned, KS : Garden City man hurt in Edwards County collision on Tuesday afternoon, November 15, 2016
A Garden City man was injured Tuesday afternoon when an antique truck hit a semi's trailer in Edwards County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Pedro Quinones, 59, Garden City, was driving a 1976 Ford truck west on Q Road at about 2 p.m. at U.S. 56 two miles east of Larned.
At the same time, Dennis Hochstetler, 65, Dallas Center, Iowa, was driving a 2012 Freightliner towing a Timp trailer east on U.S. 56.
Quinones pulled out in front of the semi and was hit, which caused the trailer to tip over.
A passenger in the semi, Victor Mendoza, 22, Garden City, was taken to Pawnee Valley Hospital with injuries.
Hochstetler was wearing a seat belt, but Quinones and Mendoza were not.
