Columbia, SC : Driver charged after SC school bus crash in Lexington County on Tuesday, April 5, 2016
A driver is facing charges of failure to yield the right of way following a school bus crash that sent five South Carolina students to the hospital with minor injuries.
Local media outlets report that a bus was carrying two dozen students just before 8 a.m. Tuesday when a pickup truck trying to turn left crossed into its path instead.
Lexington Richland School District officials say five students were sent to the hospital for treatment of bumps and bruises.
Authorities in Lexington County say the truck driver was also sent to the hospital. A condition and name have not been released.
