State Police are looking for information about a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian that killed a man on Interstate 95 in Greenwich Tuesday morning.
Police said the pedestrian was struck by “an unknown vehicle, possibly a large truck.”
Authorities Tuesday night were still trying to identify the vehicle and the man who was killed.
“The male pedestrian had no identification and this investigation will remain open,” police said in a statement.

State Police shut down all lanes on I-95 southbound at about 11 a.m. Tuesday between Exits 5 and 6, diverting traffic onto Greenwich streets while an investigation was carried out.
Traffic on the southbound lanes were backed up to Darien, and drivers faced delays of an hour as they drove through the congested corridor.
Traffic was heavy on the Post Road in the east end of Greenwich as cars and trucks move through the area. Vehicles were detoured off the highway at Exit 6 and re-directed to Exit 5 in Riverside.
“Very bad, bumper to bumper,” said a Stamford motorist, Kathie Azoff, who said she spent a half hour driving a short distance into Greenwich on local streets. “And I’m sorry to hear someone lost their life.”
One lane was re-opened at 12:20 p.m., and all lanes were re-opened around 2:40 p.m.
