Merrill , OR : 33- Years old driver died and two others injured in Head on crash On Tuesday , February 24th 2015

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the Merrill driver killed in a head-on crash just east of the city.

Holly Schinke, 33, died at a hospital following the crash on state Highway 17 about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the agency said in a statement Wednesday.

Two other people were hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation with the help of a crash reconstruction team from the Wisconsin State Patrol, the sheriff's department said.

One person was killed in a two-car crash on Wisconsin Highway 17 in Lincoln County, according to Lincoln County Sheriff's Department.

A lieutenant with the department says the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hinz Road near Merrill.

They say the two cars when traveling in opposite directions when they crash head-on. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Officials say a 33-year-old woman from Merrill died from her injuries at the hospital.

No names have been released. The crash is still under investigation.

Both lanes of Wisconsin Highway 17 were closed, but have since reopened.
