Kennett, MO : One killed in traffic accident on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017

A head on collision on Highway 412 a mile north of Arbyrd Tuesday morning took the life of a Kennett woman. According to Troop E of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a car driven by 36 year old Britany Shaver of Kennett crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck a tractor trailer rig head on. Shaver was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell. The driver of the tractor trailer rig, 52 year old Danny Scoggins of Bald Knob, Ark. was not hurt. The accident happened at 9:40 a.m., leaving Highway 412 closed for most of the day.
