Moultrie, GA : Two injured in truck wreck on Veterans Parkway at 31st Avenue Southeast on Wednesday, August 3, 2016

The driver and passenger of a Mazda 6I were injured Wednesday when the driver stopped in the path of a semi truck while trying to make a left turn on Veterans Parkway at 31st Avenue Southeast, Moultrie police reported.

Brandi Lin Jordan and her passenger, Adam King, both of Duluth, Ga., were treated and released from Colquitt Regional Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Police said Jordan told them she missed the turn lane and stopped in the inside southbound lane to make a left turn. The semi, driven by Michael Wilson of Dallas, Ga., skidded more than 330 feet, police said, before striking the rear of the Mazda.

The car came to rest in the cut-through, but the semi stopped in the median with its trailer overturned.

Wilson was not injured, police said.

Jordan was charged with improper lane change/not proper position.
