Two women were taken to area hospitals after a wreck Tuesday on Old Albany Road and Highway 133.

Virginia Allen White of Moultrie, was taken to Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. She failed to stop at a stop sign on Old Albany Road, according to a report from the Georgia State Patrol. She struck the vehicle of Samantha Tullice Spears of Baconton, Ga., who was driving on Highway 133.

An Archbold Medical Center spokeswoman did not return calls seeking White’s condition.

White was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Spears was taken to Colquitt County Regional Medical Center and her condition remains stable, a hospital spokeswoman said.
