Portsmouth, NH: Pennsylvania Driver Runs Red Light, Causes Crash on Tuesday, July 21st 2015

Portsmouth Police, Fire and Rescue teams, and New Hampshire State Police were sent to a rollover accident at around 9 p.m. on July 21, 2015, that closed down part of I-95 for about 45 minutes, according to Sgt. Christopher Roth of the Portsmouth Police Department.When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered a car that had rolled on its side after a collision with an SUV. The driver remained in the rolled over car at the time of the arrival and was subsequently removed through the area of the windshield with the assistance of the fire department, according to the report.“Witnesses reported to police that a Honda Pilot registered out of Pennsylvania was traveling in-bound on Market Street and had driven through a red light colliding with a Honda Civic making a left turn on a green light causing it to roll onto its’ side,” according to Roth.The car was driven by a woman from Seabrook. There were no injuries reported, according to police.The accident caused a closure of the on-ramp to I-95 South for approximately 45 minutes, he noted. New Hampshire State Police assisted with traffic at the scene.
