Scottsville, KY : Texas man injured in wreck in Allen County on Wednesday, May 18, 2016

A Texas man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday in Allen County.

Kentucky State Police were called at 4:27 p.m. to Ky. 101, where they determined that James Baker, 40, of Midland, Texas, was driving a 2017 Volvo tractor-trailer south on Ky. 101. Baker met an oncoming commercial motor vehicle and attempted to move over, according to a news release from KSP.

Baker’s vehicle dropped off the shoulder, causing it to overturn. The large steel coil Baker was hauling came off the trailer, resulting in one lane of the highway being closed for several hours, according to the release. Baker was transported to The Medical Center at Scottsville for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
