Bus accident sends three students to the hospital in Kingsport Tennessee

Just before 4 p.m. the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an accident involving a school bus near Ketron Elementary School.

Upon arrival, school officials told officers that the incident occurred as the bus driver was turning left from Cardinal Street to Newland Avenue. As the driver turned onto Newland Avenue one of the wheels dropped off the road.

As a result, some of the students suffered minor injuries. Three were transported by EMS to the hospital as a precautionary measure. According to school officials there were 13 children on board.The investigation is ongoing.
