Bridgewater, ME : Multiple injuries in car and truck crash Route 1 in northeastern Maine on Sunday January 10 2016.

Multiple injuries were reported after black ice caused a crash between a car and a pickup truck hauling a snowmobile trailer along U.S. Route 1 in northeastern Maine.
State police say the accident occurred Sunday morning when 55-year-old Dorothy Holyoke-Cosme lost control of her car while traveling northbound on Route 1 in Bridgewater.
Holyoke-Cosme hit a patch of black ice, crossed the centerline and collided with 51-year-old James Small's truck. Holyoke-Cosme's vehicle was totaled. Small's truck suffered extensive damage and his snowmobile trailer was destroyed.
Holyoke-Cosme had to be extricated from her vehicle by Bridgewater and Mars Hill rescue crews. She was treated at Houlton Regional Hospital along with her husband and two young grandchildren. Small was uninjured.
