Wichita, KS : 1 person dead in east Wichita crash on the 9300 block of E. Central Ave on Saturday, 3rd October, 2020

Wichita Police say a 19-year-old man is dead following a Saturday night car crash on the 9300 block of E. Central Ave.

WPD says it responded to an injury accident call around 9:34 p.m.

” It appears that he was traveling eastbound on central when he went over the curb and struck two wooden poles,” said Lieutenant Chris Marceau, WPD. ” The vehicle overturned on its side.”

WPD says the crash caused a power outage in the area and say it will be out for several hours.

Officers say the 19-year-old was the single occupant in the vehicle and no other car was involved in the crash.
