Hickory, NC : Alcohol factor in fatal crash involving Lenoir-Rhyne student on Friday January 22 2016

North Carolina Highway Patrol was on the scene of a deadly ice-related crash Friday morning in Hickory.
Officials said the crash was reported on Sixth Street Drive Northwest. They said they believe it happened sometime overnight.Firefighters said the car slid off the road north of downtown Hickory.
Officials said Madeline Scalf, 19, died in the crash. She was a student at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Troopers said alcohol was a primary factor in this crash.
