Reno , NV : 23-year-old man was killed after hit by car near south of Mill Street on Saturday evening, December 6th 2014

Authorities have identified the man who died after being hit by a car Saturday evening.

Nevada Highway Patrol officials say he has been identified as 23-year-old Jeremiah Dorsey from Glenn Allen, Alaska. Officials say a red Honda Accord was headed south when it hit Dorsey, who was walking southbound in the left lane ahead of the car on I-580 southbound, just south of Mill Street.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene, and Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers say the driver fully cooperated, and alcohol or drugs were not a factor.
