Rochester, NY : A Genesee County resident was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday, December, 28th 2017

A Genesee County resident was killed in a two-vehicle collision early Thursday afternoon, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.

Tracy B. Carpenter, 54, of Oakfield was pronounced dead at the scene near 5882 Route 33 in Stafford, Genesee County, deputies said.

Deputies were called to the scene at 12:25 p.m. for the report of a two-vehicle collision after a call was placed to the Genesee County Dispatch Center.

Carpenter was driving a 2004 Acura TSX eastbound, when the Acura traveled across the center line and into oncoming traffic, deputies said. Carpenter collided with a 2007 Western Star tractor trailer, driven by Fay B. Warner, 67, of Geneseo, Livingston County.

Warner was uninjured, deputies said.

"Weather was not a factor in the cause of the accident," deputies said in a release. "The cause of the accident is still under investigation
