Granger, WA : Sunnyside woman died after being hit by car collision on State Route 223 west of Granger on Saturday, November 19, 2016

Authorities early today identified the Sunnyside woman who was killed Saturday when the car she was driving collided with a semitrailer on State Route 223 west of Granger.

Michelle R. Taylor, 54, died in the crash that was reported about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of SR 223 and South Track Road, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Authorities said Taylor was southbound on SR 223 in a Subuaru Legacy and Anacleto Morales-Lopez, 27, of Merced, Calif. was northbound in a Volvo tractor-trailer when Taylor crossed the center line and collided with his semi.

Both wore seatbelts, authorities said. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
