Kremmling, CO : Two killed in wreck on Highway 40 near Kremmling on Thursday, 18th July 2019

Colorado State Patrol has confirmed two fatalities in a car wreck that happened at 5:14 p.m. Thursday on US Highway 40.

A CSP spokesman said a pickup truck and SUV collided head-on near mile post 186. The Grand County Office of Emergency Management put the wreck about a mile east of Kremmling.

Highway 40 was closed in both directions for several hours while drivers were detoured around the wreck. The route reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
