Providence , RI : Man killed in Fall River crash day before his birthday on Wednesday, 5th October 2016

A 43-year-old Fall River man has died after his vehicle veered off the highway Wednesday morning.

Massachusetts State Police say they responded to Route 24 Southbound just south of Exit 6 in Fall River around 6:15 a.m.

Preliminary investigation shows Albert Williams was the driver and sole occupant in the vehicle, which was seen entangled in trees off the highway. He was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene. He would have celebrated his 44th birthday on Thursday.

Accident reconstruction units and the medical examiner were also on scene.
