Ellensburg, WA : Motorcyclist killed in crash on Yakima River Canyon Road on Sunday, July 10, 2016

A California man was killed Sunday when he was ejected from his motorcycle after going off the road in the Yakima River Canyon, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Mark Moore, 64, of Laguna Beach was heading north on State Route 821 when he missed a left-hand curve in the roadway and went off the road, according to a news release from WSP.

He died at the scene.

The accident occurred at 1:15 p.m., about 13 miles south of Ellensburg.

Moore was reportedly wearing a helmet.
