A small child died at the hospital after she was struck in an auto-pedestrian incident in Spring, officials said Monday.
The child, believed to be 2, was hit about 6:45 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Spring Pines Drive. The child was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands where she was pronounced dead, troops with the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
According to state troopers, the child was struck by either a pickup truck or a trailer in the driveway of the home. The child's identity has not been released.
It wasn't immediately clear how the child was struck. The investigation is continuing by DPS troopers.
