Lyndon, KS : Three juveniles seriously injured in crash at 245th and Morrill Road in Osage County on Wednesday morning, Aug 19, 2015

Three juveniles suffered serious injuries in an accident Wednesday morning just northwest of Lyndon in Osage County, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 10:17 a.m. at 245th and Morrill Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, a 1996 Pontiac that had lost control and hit a tree was located.

Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn told The Capital-Journal that the driver, Roger Lane, 16, of Lyndon, was transported by air ambulance to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. He was wearing a seat belt.

Dunn said a passenger, Brandon Lane, 15, of Lyndon, was transported by air ambulance to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Lane’s location in the car is unknown at this time. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt. AJ Lane, 1, of Lyndon, who Dunn said was improperly restrained and thrown from the vehicle, was transported by ground ambulance to Topeka and then transferred to Children’s Mercy Hospital.

All three occupants of the vehicle were in critical condition immediately following the accident.

Lyndon First Responders and Osage County EMS also responded. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
