Blount County , TN : Two people killed and six others injured after double-fatal crash along US Highway 321 on Friday ,May 22nd 2015

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers reopened U.S. Highway 321 near Tuckaleechee Pike Saturday morning after a double-fatal crash in Blount County, according to spokesman Lt. Bill Miller.

Troopers said the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

According to a THP report, Andrea Daugherty, 31, was driving northbound on Highway 321 when when she entered the left turn lane. Four motorcycles were riding in the southbound lane. Daugherty then left the turn lane and drove into oncoming traffic, hitting all four motorcycles. Daugherty was hurt in the crash along with passenger Madeline Lowe, 3. Crews took both of them to UT Medical Center.

Troopers said two motorcycle riders, Bryan W. Shafer, 57, and his passenger Nancy A. Shafer, 51, from Cordova, Tennessee were killed in the crash.

The wreck also injured four other motorcycle riders. Gregory Vickers, 63 and his passenger Diana Vickers, 62, along with Stanley T. Sampson and a fourth motorcycle rider Fannie L. Sampson were injured.

The THP report said all motorcycle riders were wearing helmets.
