Two people were rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after a crash in Windham.

Around 6:30 p.m., police said a red van crashed into a guardrail on London Bridge Road near the entrance to Windham High School.

Two passengers were ejected and taken to area hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

After the accident, the driver of the van, Nickolas Lerchenfeldt, 19, of Manchester, drove off but was later located by an officer just up the road.

Lerchenfeldt is charged with conduct after an accident. He's being held on $2,500 cash bail and will be arraigned Wednesday in Rockingham Superior Court.
