Miami, FL : An 81-year-old man was in critically injured in a hit-and-run crash at Little River Drive On Tuesday, June 14th, 2016

An 81-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday night after a the driver of a gray pick-up truck slammed into him and then took off.

The hit-and-run crash happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at Northwest Seventh Avenue and Little River Drive in West Little River.

Police say Tecean Phen was crossing Northwest Seventh Avenue in an eastbound direction when he was struck by the truck, which was headed northbound on Seventh Avenue. The driver, police said, stopped briefly, but then continued

northbound on Northbound Seventh Avenue.

Phen was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.
