Middletown, DE : Three hurt in 2-vehicle crash in Middletown Monday on Route 301, August 18, 2014
Delaware State Police have charged a man with DUI after he and two others were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Middletown.
It happened about 10:15 p.m. Monday on Route 301. Troopers say 48-year-old Allen Belile of Wilmington was driving south when he tried to pass a vehicle and traveled into the northbound lanes.
Police say Belile's car crashed head on into a vehicle driven by 42-year-old David Reyne of Newark.
Belile, Reyne and a passenger in Belile's car were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers say they have obtained warrants charging Belile with 4th offense driving under the influence of alcohol, vehicular assault and other offenses. Authorities say Belile will be arrested upon his release from the hospital.
