Orlando,FL : Ruskin man killed in Volusia crash, Florida Highway Patrol says on September, Saturday 2nd 2017

A 55-year-old Ruskin man is dead after a crash in Volusia County early Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was driving westbound on U.S. Highway 92 in a Dodge van around 3:30 a.m., according to FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes.

Justin Wagner, 27, was driving a Dodge pickup in front of the man. Wagner put on the hazard lights of his van while trying to pull off on the right shoulder. The driver of the Dodge van didn’t slow down and hit the back of Wagner’s truck, Montes said.

The 55-year-old was killed in the crash, and two passengers in his car were injured and taken to Halifax Medical Center.

One of the passengers was in critical condition, authorities said.

Wagner, of DeLeon Springs, suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
