Mt. Healthy, OH : Teen on way to school hit by car in Mount Healthy early Monday morning, Nov 2, 2015

A 16-year-old was hit by a car as she walked to school in Mount Healthy early Monday morning.

The girl, a student at Mount Healthy High School, was struck by a car exiting the Mount Healthy Food Mart parking lot at 8061 Hamilton Ave.

Hamilton Avenue was temporarily closed past Adams Road as emergency crews responded to the scene.

The teen, who is pregnant, was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a precaution, said Vincent Demasi, Mount Healthy police chief. Her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

David Bode, 58, was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
