OKLAHOMA CITY, OK : A woman died injured n northwest Oklahoma City on Tuesday, August 15, 2017

A woman died injured Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle in northwest Oklahoma City.

The woman was walking toward traffic in a street near Melrose Lane and Rockwell Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle, officials said. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Police are interviewing witnesses to get a vehicle description.
