Park Hills, MO : Woman injured in crash on U.S. 67 north of Fredericktown on Tuesday afternoon, February 7, 2017

A Park Hills woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 67 a half mile north of Fredericktown.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Report, at 1:40 p.m., Erik E. Caples, 41, of Park Hills, was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion, north on U.S. 67, when he fell asleep and the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. The car struck a median barrier cable and damaged 13 median posts.

A passenger, Michele R. Caples, 41, of Park Hills, suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center.

Both the driver and passenger were wearing seat belts.
