Hagerstown, MD : A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Sunday, July 2, 2017

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday night in a crash in the 13000 block of Greencastle Pike, according to a Washington County 911 supervisor.

It appears the operator of the motorcycle lost control in the area of 13629 Greencastle Pike, the supervisor said.

Rescue crews and police were dispatched to the scene at 8:58 p.m., the supervisor said.

A Maryland State Police spokesman said he believes the individual will be flown to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
