KINGS COUNTY, CA : 1 killed in crash involving semi-truck in Kings County on Monday, 25th September 2023

We now know the name of a teenager killed in a crash in Kings County.

The coroner's officer has identified her as 18-year-old Paula Chavez.

The crash happened just after 6 am Monday on Highway 43 and Pickerell Avenue in Corcoran.

The California Highway Patrol says a semi-truck was headed northbound when Chavez's car headed eastbound went through a stop sign.

The semi-truck driver reportedly tried to avoid the collision but ended up hitting Chavez.

She died at the scene.
