Mount Holly, VT : Reading man killed and his wife injured in crash on early Sunday morning July 6th 2014
An 84-year-old Reading man was killed and his wife injured in a crash on Route 103 early Sunday, according to Vermont State Police.
John Stahura was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which took place at 12:40 a.m. south of the intersection with Shunpike Road.
His wife, Nancy Stahura, was temporarily trapped in the 2008 Chevrolet van the couple was traveling in. Nancy Stahura was freed by members of Mount Holly Fire and Rescue along with members of the Ludlow Fire Department.
She was taken by ambulance to Rutland Regional Medical Center where she was treated for what police described as non-life-threatening injuries. She was listed in fair condition at the hospital Sunday morning.
